Niki is a proud Maryland native, hailing from the picturesque Frederick County and now calling beautiful Washington County home with her family. A Linganore High School graduate, she earned her BA from Hood College and later flexed her academic muscles to snag an MBA from Mount St. Mary’s University.
After college, Niki embarked on a new adventure as an intelligence analyst in the United States Marine Corps, supporting Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 3 in the sunny deserts of Twentynine Palms, CA. She proudly served in Operation Enduring Freedom deploying to Afghanistan.
Once her active-duty service wrapped up, Niki returned to Maryland with a mission to help active-duty service members and their families find housing and support. Her passion for the military and commitment to public service led her to Platoon 22, where she started as a volunteer and quickly transitioned to a full-time role. As the handler for the Platoon facility dog, Jackie, she brings a little extra joy and comfort to everyone she meets.
Niki also serves on the Washington County Veteran Advisory Council (VAC) and proudly supports the South County Little League (SCLL) and the Boonsboro Area Athletics Association (BAAA) through her board positions.
When she’s not making a difference in the community, Niki loves soaking up the outdoors with her husband and two kids, whether it’s at the ballfield or exploring new places, from finding hidden gem restaurants to soaking up the sun beachside or poolside. Adventure awaits!
